Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, marketer of Caltex branded Lubricants in Sri Lanka recently felicitated their distributor in Bangladesh on reaching the milestone of 5 years of successful partnership. Mr.Shafiul Islam, Chairman, Navana Group received a special award to mark the occasion at the Annual Awards Night of Chevron Lubricants, held recently at a leading hotel in Colombo.
The Navana Group is one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh with diversified operations in product and project marketing, construction and real estate; international trading as well as production and distributorship. They are the sole agents in Bangladesh for Toyota & Hino automobiles and the operation includes the assembly of these vehicles in Bangladesh. They also have business interests in Logistics, Compressed Natural Gas conversions and renewable energy.
“Bangladesh has been a huge success story for Chevron” said Mr. Kishu Gomes, Managing Director/CEO of Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, commenting on the occasion. “We recorded a 70% growth in 2010 versus the previous year, penetrating into new accounts in the retail and industrial sectors”.

In addition to Bangladesh, Chevron Lubricants Lanka also has direct responsibility for the Maldives market, thereby brining in valuable foreign exchange to the country.
